Description
The X-10 4812UK filter plugs into a standard 13A mains socket, the appliance that is causing the issues is then plugged into it. No X-10 signals can be passed through it. To test if a device needs a filter, unplug the device you think is causing noise or absorbing the signal and try again. If the X-10 signal now works, that device needs a filter.
How it works
X-10 signals are placed on the power line at the zero crossing point of the AC sine wave. If that point is not noise free, X-10 signals may get lost. The X-10 4812UK will filter the frequencies that the X-10 signal uses.
