The X-10 MS13E Hawkeye is a PIR motion detector that can send signals to an X-10 receiver when it detects movement and when dusk and dawn occur. It may be used both internally and externally under sheltered conditions.
Description
The X-10 MS13E, also known as Hawkeye, is a Passive Infrared Detector that is capable of sending RF signals for use in an X-10 system. You will need an X-10 RF receiver to detect the wireless signals and convert them into X-10. When the PIR detects movement, a house code and unit code transmission is triggered. The X-10 MS13E can also be set so that another signal is sent on the unit code +1, when dusk and dawn are detected. The light levels of dusk and dawn are pre-set and cannot be changed. Using a home automation controller, such as the CM15Pro, macros can be constructed so a light can be turned on when someone enters a room and turned off when they have left.
How it works
The PIR detects movement and sends an X-10 RF command, this is then picked up by an X-10 Receiver and transmitted back onto the mains.
