Description
The X10-LW12 is an X-10 compatible dimmer that doesn't require a neutral connection, so is suitable for the wiring schemes used in the UK. It offers soft start and soft dim, so the light fades up to the required brightness when turned on and fades down when turned off. The LW12 also remembers the last dim level that was set, so it will return to that level when turned back on.
The module is also protected against overload by an electronic fuse.
How it works
If the LW12 is replacing a normal light switch or existing dimmer, the physical switch also needs to be replaced with a momentary action version. X-10 commands can then be sent to it and they will have the following effects:
OFF - Light fades down to off
ON - Light fades up to last light level
DIM - Light becomes dimmer by one step
BRIGHT - Light becomes brighter by one step
ALL LIGHTS ON - Light goes to 100% brightness with no fade
ALL LIGHTS OFF, ALL UNTIS OFF - Light goes to off with no fade
